Assiniboine 1998

Spring pic for perspective - TR at summitpost.1997 trip - made it to red band before snowed off.retreat 199798 trip - dry - didn't need axe or crampons- Approaching Assiniboine and Hind Hut by the Gmoser ledges. Route is approximate.1998 was a very dry El Nino year.pic just above red band and onto ridge. Moderate scrambling on loose rock up to here and moderate/hard scrambling to top except for 5.5 section through gray band.On ridge working our way up broken rock towards grey band where we roped up. I only put in one cam and one nut going over the grey band which was the only place we actually belayed.
